relative to fire protection of floors in certain detached dwellings.
Requires new minimum fire protection
standards for floors in new const OR substantially rehabilitated one or 2 unit
dwellings. Looks like this could be costly for those rehabbing properties.
This bill requires the public utilities commission to apply the procedures of the eminent domain procedures act to cases of eminent domain concerning public utilities.

HB1286 Title: Relative to the Installation of Sprinklers
This is an amendment to the current law regarding automatic suppressant or sprinkler systems. It prevents the Fire Marshall from requiring sprinklers in public buildings where there is inadequate water supply.

This bill permits a high-rise apartment building held as a condominium to opt-out of certain state fire code requirements adopted after it was first occupied as an apartment building.
SB0306 Title: Relative to the commercial and industrial construction property tax exemption
This bill makes the application procedure for the property tax exemption for commercial and industrial construction prospective, and permanently extends the authority for the exemption.
